Hi Danny! I was painting the church one day in Jan. or Feb. last year, and Dimas came over to talk to me. It was the biggest blessing to me to see him and to meet his son. Then, I was so sorry to hear that he passed away. I am so sad. Where do you live? I heard from Rosie the other day. I would love to see you all. God bless you. Your family has been on my mind so much in the last two years, because I am so homesick for Fabens. I miss that place where you all lived, and the Davis’ and Rawls ranch where I grew up, riding the bus and seeing the cotton and everything. Love, Carlitta

Yes, Danny, I’m glad to know the church is at La Isla, not Fabens. A lady I know from Alamogordo bought the painting. It reminded her of home. I think she grew up in Esperanza. Her sister married Perry Homan.
